The 5500 is $100.00 more than the next model down. But I Purchased the 5500 after Looking at ALL REVIEWS AND COMMENTS ON YOUTUBE and TALKING WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE on the phone about the Different Features to see if the $100.00 More Price was Worth it and I felt it was. I Compared ALL WASHING MACHINES FROM EVERY MANUFACTURER for RELIABILITY, The Way They Worked and Customer REVIEWS Both GOOD & BAD and Common Problems. ON YOUTUBE & Printed Reviews with ALL MACHINES for about a Month Before Deciding on the LG 5500. TURBO WASH Machine. This machine was $21.00 more from BestBuy vs other stores but the Customer Service Rep was SO HELPFUL & PATIENT as I made him COMPARE ALL FEATURES of a LOT OF MACHINES FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR I DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE $21.00. I have been in Customer Service for over 54 years in Everyway you can think of and Trained Reps and Sales & Wharehouse People All Over the Country from Retail Stores Computer Companies to explosives and THIS GENTLEMAN TREATED ME AND WENT OVERBOARD FOR HIS CUSTOMER LIKE I USED TO DO WITH MINE. WHAT A RELIEF!!! HOPE HIS BOSSES GIVE HIM A RAISE, BONUS, VACATION & NIGHT ON THE TOWN WITH HIS FAMILY
