QuestionIs there a way to "save" your preferred temperature settings on WM3400CW, like the normal wash cycle? I have to change the temp. setting every time I do a load. Would think a default to the cold tap would be more energy efficient than very warm temp.

- Answer If by drain pan you a referring to a drip pan, LG does not recommend the use of one. If a drip pan must be used, take extra care to follow the instructions provided with the drip pan and make sure the leveling feet are adjusted for firm and even contact with the pan. Use of drip pans and failure to properly level the machine may result in increased vibration and noise during operation. ^Daphane

QuestionThe detergent dispenser is filled with water when the machine is done around 75% of the time. Been that way since new about 2 months ago. Need to keep a small bucket nearby to empty it. The other dispensers are always dry. Any suggestions?

QuestionWhen installed as a stacked unit, what is the distance from the wall to the front of the unit? In other words does the dryer vent hose push the unit away from the wall more than the drain hose or does the dryer inset absorb it?

- Answer That will depend on your chosen cycle and the weight of the load. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 10-Cycle Front-Loading Smart Wi-Fi Washer with 6Motion Technology - White, Model # WM3500CW has a load sensing system for the water levels used for the wash cycles. When a cycle is selected, the default time for that cycle is displayed. This time will change as modifiers or options are selected. Once the Start/Pause button is pressed, the washer will measure the size of the load to determine how much water to use for the cycle and for the based on the size of the load and on your chosen modifiers and chosen options. The washer has a total weighted per-cycle water consumption of 13.05 gallons...^IFV

Regrettably, neither the LG F17WDBP nor the LG T15DU are models that were released in the U.S. and we are not familiar with the specifications for either model. !7 Kg is a weight capacity while cubic feet is a volume capacity and there is no way to convert a weight capacity to a volume capacity. The smallest capacity we carry in the U.S. is 2.3 cubic feet for the LG 2.3 cu. ft. Capacity 24” Compact Front Load Washer w/ NFC Tag On, Model # WM1388HW...^IFV

- Answer That will depend on what type and size your faucets are. The hot and cold hoses for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 10-Cycle Front-Loading Smart Wi-Fi Washer with 6Motion Technology - White, Model # WM3500CW are 3/4" in diameter. Is this a kitchen sink? The standard size for your kitchen faucet is 1 3/8 inches wide. But there is diversity as well. Some are male and some are female. You will need to check to see what type of faucets you have and what the size is. You may need adapters to connect to the hot and cold water hoses for the washer...^IFV

QuestionDoes the inside of the washer smell when the laundry is done? Also do you recommend leaving the washer door open when all laundry is complete?

- Answer Jodi, there is a smell of some sort of glue or cement that i think is a result of the manufacturing process that i am hoping will go away with time. As far as i can tell, this smell does not transfer to my clothes. Its been recommended to me by others to leave the door open after washing to promote evaporation of the water condensation and prevent mildew formation.

- Answer My washer doesn't do what you describe. So I would check to see if the cold water is turned on. If it is turned on, then I think you need to call for repair.

QuestionI have just bought LGWM3500CW, I connected the hoses as explained in the manual and I was doing the test load and I have a water leak under the WM. How can I fix this?

- Answer Water is tricksy! Recheck your hoses and valves. I had water next the back corner of mine during the test load. It turned out to be from a leaking packing gland on the hot water valve that was travelling down the hose and dripping off near the back of the washer.

QuestionWhat distance above the machine can I safely install a countertop? Or can a countertop be placed directly on top of the machine?

- Answer We have our countertop installed about two inches over the unit. However, as long as you have any space around the washer/dryer, I don't see why you would need more space. It's not generating heat like a microwave or refrigerator. I'm assuming you would have a vented dryer going to the outside. Keep in mind though that you should have some way to access the hot and cold shut offs in case of emergency!
