I do not know the reason for the issues you are experiencing but you could try using the Smart Diagnosis feature via the LG ThinQ App.

While a dryer's lint screen catches most of the lint that develops during drying cycles, some still escape and collect in the vent. Over time, lint and other debris can accumulate to the point where it restricts airflow out of the vent. If you have tried this method and it appears to still not dry. LG recommends you contacting our LG Support Team. We rely on our customers like you to let us know what we're doing right/wrong to continue to provide the best experience possible. We would be please to investigate this further, but we must switch to a platform that allows for back-and forth conversation. Send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter with the handle @LGUSSupport, and your contact information, and we'll be pleased to see what we can do to help. If you don't have either platform. You can always Call our LG Customer Support at (800)243-0000. Thanks. ^Jai.
