  • QuestionI have an LG stackable washer and dryer that i am looking to replace as it is 15 years old. No complaints! I need to know does this dryer come with a telescopic vent hose or is there one available? I have a small wash closet .

    Asked by sharon.

    • Answer Hi there, Sharon. Thank you for your question about replacing your stackable washer and dryer with the LG WM4000HBA Front-Load Washer. We understand your concern about space in your wash closet. The dryer models that pair with the LG WM4000HBA (like the DLEX4000B for electric or DLGX4001B for gas) do not come with a telescopic vent hose included. However, telescopic vent hoses are available for purchase separately, which would be helpful for installation in tight spaces. The dryer also requires a fill hose (sold separately) for standard hook-up, and it includes a drain hose. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-wm4000hba-front-load-washer#pdp_specs If you need further assistance or have more questions, feel free to reach out! • QuestionWhen using the bright white cycle, I noticed the bleach go in during the start of the rinse. Is that normal ? What if I wanted to use fabric softener too? Will they both go in at the same time and mix during the rinse?

    Asked by Blackdragon79.

    • Answer Hello there! Thank you for sharing your experience with the WM4000HBA washer. We understand how important it is for your wash cycles to work smoothly. Yes, it is normal for bleach to be dispensed during the beginning of the rinse cycle in the Bright Whites™ setting. The bleach and fabric softener are dispensed at different stages, so they won't mix. The bleach goes in during the initial rinse, and fabric softener is added later to ensure effective cleaning and fabric care. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-wm4000hba-front-load-washer#pdp_specs For any additional assistance, please feel free to send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport. • QuestionDoes this washer use the same style heating element as an electric dryer to heat the water? Also, does this heater pull more power than my top loader I am replacing? I want to avoid any possible breaker trip. Can I purchase an aftermarket drum light?

    Asked by Blackdragon79.

    • Answer Hello there! Thank you for your questions regarding the LG WM4000HBA front-load washer. Heating Element: This washer features a built-in water heater that operates differently from an electric dryer’s heating element. The internal water heater is designed to heat the water to the desired temperature for optimal washing performance, especially for cycles that require hot or sanitizing water. Power Consumption: The water heater in this model does draw additional power compared to traditional top-load washers without such a feature. However, the exact power draw can vary based on the specific models you're comparing. To avoid potential breaker trips, it’s essential to ensure that your electrical circuit can handle the combined load of both the washer and other appliances on the same circuit. It’s a good idea to consult your electrician to evaluate your circuit’s capacity. Aftermarket Drum Light: For adding an aftermarket drum light, while there may be options available, we recommend using only genuine LG parts or accessories for compatibility and safety. Check with authorized LG retailers or the LG website for any compatible accessories. • QuestionWhy can't you add extra rinse to the Normal cycle?

    Asked by mymorningcatnip.

    • Answer Hi there, thank you for your question about the WM4000HBA washer! The reason you can't add an extra rinse to the Normal cycle is that this cycle is designed for optimal performance based on typical load types. However, if you need additional rinsing, you can select a different cycle, such as the Heavy Duty or Bulky/Large Items, which allows for an extra rinse option. • QuestionCan the door be cracked when left open, so it doesn’t need to be left wide open to dry?
