Have the same problem with this lg machine. There is either not enough water or to much. Have no control over the water. I have tried every way i can think of to adjust it. No success. I will know better about which machine to buy next time. It will not be a lg.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same here! I would never advise anyone to buy this type of washer. I would actually like to talk to the engineers that designed this worthless excuse of a washer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same problem! My clothes will go through the entire wash cycle and never get wet! I will never own an LG washer again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was told to run heavy load cycle to get deeper water
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use the "Deep Wash" mode and it's ok now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same problem. Some of the clothes never even get wet. There is no way they are getting clean. Like it or not I add additional water before I start. It makes the clothes heavier and adds more water. It took a little experimenting to figure out how much to add. I tried the deep cycle and it seems to add way too much water.

When half or parts of your clothes come out of the washer completely dry THAT is an issue. That is a pretty big indicator that your clothes didn't even get washed correctly and that the amount of "energy efficient water usage" is not enough to properly wash clothing. These washers also don't come with a standard agitator, so using the Deep Wash setting adds a lot more water but the flat agitator is no longer efficient in deep water levels so your clothes don't move and they just vibrate softly in place, which again, cleans nothing. It is the most painful thing to watch a washing machine not wash your laundry. Unfortunately, this washer is junk and there are no satisfactory settings to fix how they were designed. A good old fashioned washer at a yard sale or I heard Speed Queens are amazing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same problem. If you choose the normal cycle, the water level will barely cover the clothes. It is made to work this way. I liked it better with the old washing machines that used to at least let you pick low, medium, or high. Also, the old machines let you choose when you wanted to use HOT water or put in bleach in the water to dilute it BEFORE putting in the clothes so they would not get bleach spots. To bypass the low water level on an LG I choose “deep fill” when turning the dial and do the same on the right side panel, push the button that says “Deep Fill” until the light lights up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its sad to see so many people dont understand how an HE washing machine works, Then they go and downvote the one answer that gives them the truth. The HE machines will not use that much water, and some models add more water periodically through the cycle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Top-Loading Washer with 6Motion™ Technology - White, Model # WT7100CW is a High-Efficiency washer that is designed specially to use only HE (High-Efficiency) detergent HE detergents produce fewer suds, dissolve more efficiently to improve washing and rinsing performance, and help to keep the interior of the washer clean. Using detergent that is not HE may cause oversudsing and unsatisfactory performance which could result in error codes, cycle failure, and machine damage. Today's more efficient washing machines use so much less water than older machines that some consumers wonder whether their washer will get their clothes clean. This is especially true for people who have switched from a traditional agitator top-loader to a high-efficiency top-loader. Some are so concerned that they add more water to the machine with a bucket or garden hose. That's a really bad idea. In fact, adding too much water can result in dingier clothes. Cleaning may worsen because the clothes aren’t rubbing against each other in all that water—it's not what the machine's design intended. In recent years, as federal standards have become increasingly tough, washers are using less water and energy. An agitator top-loader that we tested 20 years ago might have used more than 40 gallons of water to wash an average load. Today’s agitator machines use considerably less, and HE top-loaders and front-loaders use far less than that. You can use the Water Plus option to add extra water to the wash cycle for better wash performance. If the washer reaches its maximum water level, the Water Plus button will have no effect. When Normal cycle is selected, if you select Water Plus option, cycle will be changed to Deep Wash cycle before starting. The Deep Wash cycle can also be used to provide additional water and wash heavily soiled mixed items, except delicate fabrics...^IFV
