  • QuestionHow tall is the washer with the lid open?? I have a shelf in my laundry room above the machines I have now. Thankyou.

    Asked by eeeds.

    • Answer I had this same question and the listed height with the lid open made it seem it would not fit, but you also need to consider the distance between the back of the wall (variable), the distance between the back of the machine to tip of the open lid. The open lid is above the bottom of my shelf, but it still opens fully and just rests against the cabinet door when open.

  • QuestionWe recently bought this washer. Love it. Does anyone's make a clicking sound during the spin cycle?

    Asked by Coco17.

    • Answer That clicking sound is the drum balancing itself. If you want to minimize that try to lay the clothes around the drum somewhat evenly as opposed to just dumping them in. It definitely helps and no it doesn't have to be perfect. But it does seem to reduce the clothes coming out tangled up. Hope that helps

  • QuestionNo delivery where I live. Can I transport the washer in the box horizontally in an suv? Taking it 250 miles.

    Asked by Transport.

    • Answer It's recommended you always keep a washing machine in an upright position. Laying a washer on its side can cause the inner and outer tubs to bump against each other, which can loosen support pads or damage the suspension. It can also cause the tubs to move out of alignment and alter the way your unit works. You should secure the drum before moving and wedge foam or cardboard between the drum and the case for top-loaders...^IFV

  • Questioncan I run just a rinse if all the soap doesn't come out?

    Asked by shel.

    • Answer Hello shel. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified 4.5 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Top-Loading Washer with 6Motion Technology, Model # WT7100CW has a Spin Only option that can be used to drain the water from the tub and spin the clothes. It also has a Rinse +Spin option that you can select to rinse and spin a load separately from a regular cycle. The washer also has an Auto Suds Removal function that is activated when the washing machine detects excessive suds. When this feature is automatically added without selecting any options, the washer will drain and add water to dilute the concentration of detergent. Each activation of this feature adds approximately 12 minutes to the cycle and it is possible for the feature to be activated multiple times...^IFV

  • QuestionI read that the spin speed on the WT7300CW was 750. Is that right? Also lots of complaints the clothes were sopping wet when the cycle was finished.

    Asked by granny44.

    • Answer That is incorrect. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.0 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Top Load Washer with TurboWash3D™ Technology, Model # WT7300CW has a maximum RPM of 950. When clothing is coming out too wet at the end of the cycle then it could be that your load is too big or that there is a restriction in the drain system, or it could be due to an unbalanced load . If the washer is displaying an error code, there are a few steps that you can take to troubleshoot the error code that is being displayed...^IFV

  • QuestionFor the bedding cycle, how will I be able to use the spin only cycle to get the excess water out? I manually set the control panel on spin only, but each time more water would dump into the tub. I am trying to remove the water. Please help!

    Asked by rennieb.

    • Answer I am having the same issue every time I try to use the Spin only option. It is very frustrating and at this point I'm ready to return it! I have followed all the instructions. Turn it on, don't select a cycle, hold the spin cycle only button then press start. It then fills with water again and again and again.

  • QuestionCan you wash a king size comforter in this washer?

    Asked by ann.

    • Answer A capacity of 3.8 cubic feet has long been considered as being adequately large enough to accommodate most King size comforters depending on the "fluffiness factor". As you are aware, comforters come with varying types of filler material that make some more bulky than others. with a capacity of 4.5 cubic feet, the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer in White, Model # WT7100CW will accommodate most King Sized Comforters. ^CP

  • QuestionAre there any issues with mold?

    Asked by mold.

    • Answer After the cycle is finished, wipe the lid (door) and the inside of the lid (door) seal to remove any moisture. • Leave the lid (door) open to dry the tub interior. • Wipe the body of the washer with a dry cloth to remove any moisture. Always remove items from the washer as soon as the cycle is complete. Leaving damp items in the washer can cause wrinkling, color transfer, and odor. Run the Tub Clean cycle once a month, or more often if needed, to remove detergent buildup and other residue. In areas with hard water, mineral scale can form on internal components of the washer. Periodically clean the mineral buildup on the internal components to extend the lifespan of the washer. Use of a water softener is recommended in areas with hard water. With proper care, you should not experience issues with mold. ^CP

  • QuestionWhat is the cycle time? For a normal load of laundry, how long does it take to wash? How long does the matching dryer take to dry?

    Asked by Emy.

    • Answer It’s really cool because it weighs your clothes and adjusts accordingly. There is s quick wash cycle that takes 29 minutes. I use this slot when I have small loads. Larger or heavy loads take s little longer. I play around with the settings and adjust as needed. There are some 60 and 90 minute cycles but it depends on your laundry habits.

  • QuestionDo you have to use HE detergent?

  • QuestionSince the washer itself determines the amount of water it needs, how do you know how much detergent to use without that information?

    Asked by bwsailbad.

    • Answer This washer is designed for use with only HE (High-Efficiency) detergents. HE detergents produce fewer suds, dissolve more efficiently to improve washing and rinsing performance, and help to keep the interior of the washer clean. Using detergent that is not HE may cause oversudsing and unsatisfactory performance which could result in error codes, cycle failure, and machine damage. For proper wash performance, always measure detergent using the measuring device provided by the detergent manufacturer. For an average load, use less than half of the recommended maximum. Use less detergent for soft water, light soil, or smaller loads.
