Does the lid scratch if items are placed on top null

When I do place items on top to organize area then take off, I never drag the item. I have not had anything scratch the glass. Like any item if it’s abused and heavy items are dragged across the glass I think it would scratch. Yet why would any heavy items be placed on top

The WT7000CW washer has a strong glass lid, but it can still get scratched if heavy or sharp things are put on it, especially if they press down a lot or are rough.
