No, I can honestly say it does not. We had the kind without the agitator and my clothes just did not seem as clean and frankly the water level never seemed adequate in washing the clothes. As a matter of fact our old one without the agitator would often twist my clothes and knot them together. I am very happy with the machine we chose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I got this washer delivered on Dec 16th 2021. This one replaces my smaller 21 year old GE (built like a tank). I have done 4 full loads (really full, this would have been a 2.5 loads in my old one which was 3.2 CuFt) until now. Every time I have seen, cloths which are longer, or which have longer sleeves are tangled to the Agitator. This was the same case in my previous GE also, so I am used to it by separating it out when emptying to the dryer. Other wise I have used different was settings like Normal, Pre-wash+ Normal, Deep Clean and Hard wash. Even though I cannot make a day and night difference between my old and new, I am sure there are benefits in the new one, I need to still investigate in detail (I saw a huge difference when I replaced my 21 year old GE dishwasher with a new one). I am sure power consumption is very less, water consumption may not be less, as I see it usually filled to the top of the brim all the 4 times due to the load. When I have smaller loads, I need to check how best the water is filled up. Best part is, in my old one, the water is cut off after based on the wash settings and you could add more water only by manually forcing it. Here the new LG, automatically senses that the load, if it has less water it adds more. Previously I did have a impeller washer from a different brand, but what I saw was lot of cloths were still dry on the top after the completion of the wash cycle. I was using way less water than required (as another reviewer stated) Looks like they made it over efficient, that it does not pour enough water at all. So, had to return it and I put the washer and dryer back myself. While most of them work, and as I am a am a tech loving guy, I got this model so that it connects to my phone and is a smart one. After trying good lot of times, both the washer and dryer does not connect to the ThinQ app. I add the device, gets added successfully, then I go to dryer and add the dryer, added successfully, again go back to the app, I see both have a message saying failed to link. I added these devices by a manual process, as scanning the QR code always says cannot scan or something similar, and I had a hard time finding any other QR code, other than the one on the left of the machine. Will try to call LG to see how this can be sorted out during my holidays. Good luck, Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
