Hi Manolo. The average lifespan of an LED LCD TV is generally considered to last between 60,000 to 100, 000 hours in theory, when used continuously under controlled conditions (e.g., in a room with "standard" lighting conditions and 77° temperatures throughout). However, once a TV reaches its lifespan, it doesn’t mean it’s old, it’s not usable anymore or it no longer works. In fact, most TVs work just fine even after several years, when their lifespan is supposed to be over. As long as you lower the contrast and brightness settings because they are directly connected to the TV’s backlight. The backlight itself is actually the main battery drain of the TV, turn the TV off when you're not watching it, protect it from power surges with a surge protector, and keep the TV from overheating by keeping it in a well-ventilated area, the LG UK6300PUE 4K HDR Smart LED UHD TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 43" Class (42.5" Diag), Model # 43UK6300 should last you a long while. It's durability really depends on a lot on you and how well you keep it in good condition...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Lifespan seems to be 2-3 years. Our tv stopped working literally after two years. I have a friend who’s LG tv blacked out after two years as well. I would Definitely go with another brand because LG customer service says they can not help you. Spend the extra 100 dollars and you wont have to worry about your tv blacking out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, another person here with my LG going black after exactly two years, down to the month. I watch tv regularly enough but I watch less than the average person. I haven't changed the settings at all. The warranty is a year on mine so makes sense they are meant to break after two.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if you leave it on factory settings than you should be alright. LGs are pretty durable and reliable TVs and far less expensive than Samsung and Sony but works just as good
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a 47" LG. It's 12 years old and has never given me any problems or blacked out/ broken down. I don't think I really changed any of the factory settings. There's no weird environmental factors around it, its just in my living room. I probably used it on average 2.5 hours every day until Covid and then used it even more. I could easily buy a new TV but I don't think I will until it's absolutely necessary.
