Sorry, I have not found any front load that does not need to leave the door open to prevent the smell. I think if you used every day you might not need to, but if you use the way most do and run weekly loads, you need to vent the drum since the units are built to seal well and not leak during operation. The same may apply to the soap and softener drawer as well. The units are sealed well enough that any moisture has no why to evaporate.

For the LG Smart Front Load Washer with 6Motion Tecnology comes with the LG TubClean system, you don’t have to worry about mold, mildew or musty odors. Simply select the TubClean cycle, add liquid bleach or other cleaner and let the washer do the work to thoroughly clean and dry the tub, door and gaskets. `Jai.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will never be fixed. Air flow must be allowed to keep drum open, so the more open the better. Additionally, open the dispenser drawer. Tub clean with the wash warrior tub clean tabs which work better than Affresh but once you get THAT smell, it's impossible to completely get out without replacing parts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Even on a top load you should leave the door/lid open. Air is required for water to be evaporated. I have seen some front loaders with vents, but I wouldn't rely on that.
