• This washing machine does not need wi-fi to function properly. Although my house has wifi, we did not connect the washer to it. The only reason one would connect the machine to wifi, is if they are connecting it to their cell phone, Once the app is downloaded, users can control certain functions via their phone. I opted not to have it connected to my phone since I prefer to set it manually, and it works just fine!

• Yes, you can use it without wi-fi. Excellent machine. I've been using mine without wi-fi. It is an extra convenience that I have chosen not to use.

• The unit does not have to be connected to Wi-Fi for full functionality. Without establish Wi-Fi connectivity, you will not be able to use the LG ThinQ app to communicate with the unit from a smartphone. ^Daphane
