- Answer Have you tried draining the lil tube, it’s in the rectangle panel on the bottom front of washer. Just undo the plug pull torwd floor and have a bowl or cup ready.

QuestionCan I stack these on top of each other?

- Answer Yes, this washer can be stacked with a dryer. Washer would be on the bottom, dryer on top. These front load washers do tend "shimmy and shake" as they are in the spin cycle. We have ours side by side and this is not a problem. If you stack, they would need to be on a concrete floor or very well supported first (over a basement) or second floor space. We had a Samsung before the LG and they both are similar as the washer begins to spin the load and get up to speed. One thing to be aware is that this is a large capacity washer (which is awesome and we love it) but, they are larger dimensionally so depending on your height, stacking may make reaching the upper unit challenging. We went from Samsung 4.5 CF washer (27' wide) to this LG model (29" wide). The LG large capacity washer is wider, taller and deeper than our previous Samsung that we thought was big. The LG is an awesome washer, and my wife loves the capacity, but they are physically bigger and we were surprised at first how much of a difference this was in our laundry room. I highly recommend this washer and we love the features and capacity!

- Answer To provide optimum washing performance the hot water temperature should be set at 120-135°F (48-57°C) and the cold at 60°F (15°C). The washer features a heating element to boost the hot water temperature for Extra Hot settings. This provides improved wash performance at normal water heater settings. ^Daphane

QuestionWith the pedestals are the washer and dryer the same height?

- Answer The dryer is slightly taller than the washer so there will be a small difference in height. The washer is 40.75"H and the pedestal height of 14.125". The dryer height is 40.80" and the pedestal is 14.125" in height. ^Daphane

- Answer There is a cycle that will allow you to Rinse+Spin. This cycle is used to rinse detergent from load. Press the dial and turn to the desired cycle > Press Rinse + Spin. > Press Start/Pause/. QuestionWhen the machine is powered on, you can manually engage the drum light and have the light turn on when you open the door. However, can the drum light be set to come on automatically when the door is open when the machine is off?

- Answer You can turn on the light by pushing the labeled “button” (on smooth keypad area) only after having pushed the ON button (physical button). I sometimes do this to watch how the washing is doing.

QuestionIs it supposed to steam clothes at end of every cycle regardless of settings? No matter what temp water we choose the clothes come out hot/steamed at the end of the wash cycle.

- Answer Hi Kkilbo. The Steam option for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.2 cu. ft. Mega Capacity TurboWash® Washer with Steam Technology, Model # WM8100HVA cannot be used with all cycles. It is only available for the Jumbo Wash, Cotton/Normal, Heavy Duty, Bulky Large, Bright Whites™, Sanitary, and Allergiene™ wash cycles. It is not automatically added to these cycles. You would have to press the Steam/Fresh Care button to add it to the cycles. If your clothes come out hot/steamed at the end of the wash cycle, you may have your hot water inlet hose connected to the cold water inlet valve. Check to make sure the hot and cold water inlet hoses are connected properly. If that is not the issue, the washer will require a repair service...^IFV

QuestionWhat is the overall stacked height of the large capacity washer and dryer? Separate it looks like about 81 5/8 or so. Do you get to shave any height by removing the legs from the top unit?

- Answer The overall height for a stacked ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.2 cu. ft. Mega Capacity TurboWash® Washer with Steam Technology, Model # WM8100HVA and its matching Gas or Electric Dryer (Model # DLGX8101V or Model # DLEX8100V) is 81 11/20" with the leveling legs at their lowest setting for both the dryer and the washer. removing the leveling legs off the dryer will prevent you from being able to slide its feet into the designated slots on the stacking kit and removing the leveling feet off the washer will prevent you from leveling the washer properly making it unstable to stack and a potential hazard, and is not recommended...^IFV

QuestionIf I select the “prewash” button when doing a normal wash, and I add oxiclean powder to the drum, will the oxiclean be used up just in the prewash portion, thereby resulting in a less effective normal wash portion? Or does the prewash water not drain?

- Answer I don't have 17 towels to even wash but it will wash at least 6 towels. A bathroom floor rug dish towels and wash clothes on sanitation cycle at about 50c
