- Answer Hi Mia, I have this machine on the second floor. My home was built in 2001 and I do not have a pan underneath. I am not sure if you have one, but, the sales agent did say that a plastic pan would not work under these machines as they will crack.... Sorry cannot be of much help other than share what he had told me when I was buying mine.

QuestionWhat are dimensions of WM9000HVA unit with platform and the "mini" washer?

- Answer This washer is a very large capacity machine, 5.2 cf. They did a great job of sizing it to fit most small washrooms areas. The width is 29" just 2" wider than normal, depth is about 36" and the height is about 55". I say about because clearance for connections and leveling is needed. We had to trim a bit off the overhead cabinets to insure the 55"space. The Sidekick washer fills the soace of the $320.00 box stand with a usfull second washer for small loads at minamum added cost.

QuestionI am torn between this 5.2. WM9000HVA capacity washer and this WM4370HWA 4.5 capacity washer, the bigger one is the only washer rated as very good in vibration by consumer reports, is that advantage worth 700 dollars, since both can wash king comforters?

- Answer We have this washer wm900hva for two weeks and we love it. Best Buy installed it and there is no vibration. It cleans great but you should get the geek squad warranty because for the bells and whistles. the only problem is the dash does not light-up fully

- Answer No, the soap loading section is part of the top cover of the washer. If the washer is on top you can't reach it. If on bottom you can't get the cover open due to the dryer. I also believe both drums are slightly tilted. This would make accessing the one on top difficult.

- Answer For the LG WM9000HVA 5.2CF WASHER: It has 4 compartments or dispensers as follows: * Main wash detergent (liquid or powdered) * Pre-wash detergent (liquid or powdered) * Liquid bleach * Fabric softener Each dispenser is meant for one wash cycle, and be sure to use HE low suds detergent. You could consult the user's manual (available on LG website) to check just when each of the above dispensers activate in any given wash cycle. I am not familiar with using a "laundry sanitizer" so I'm not sure when it should be dispensed in a given cycle. Also be aware that this machine has both a Sanitary cycle and the option to add steam to eight of the 14 cycles. Hope this helps you.

QuestionI'm on the verge of buying this LG washer. But I noticed the detergent hidden dispenser ON TOP of the machine which may conflict with my countertop. I need exact dispenser measurements from the back -sliding door does not slide all the way back.

- Answer The washing machine plays a melody when the wash cycle is finished. The buttons make a sound each time a button is pressed. The volume of the melody and button tones can be changed or turned off as desired. ^Daphane

Model WM9000HVA is not compatible with a pedestal. - Answer LG does not offered recommended load size for this washer. A large tub (5 to 6.2 cubic feet): can wash up to 20 to 25 pounds of laundry, or roughly 17 towels. ^Daphane
