QuestionIs this washing machine completely flat on the back? I have a very limited space to put my washer and dryer, as they fit on either side of the door going into my garage. I need to allow space behind for hoses, so washer must be flat on the back.

- Answer The top control panel extends about 5 inches on the upper back beyond the 'flat' portion. However; you also need to allow for the two metal hoses that connect to your water source, and one flexible hose. You don't want them flat against the wall, to avoiding crimping and stopping water flow.

- Answer As long as it is identified as "HE" for energy efficient washers. I think almost all are nowadays.

- Answer You will have to ask Best Buy about basement install. They charge to haul away old washer, but we opted to donate our washer since it still worked and many places will pick up donations for free. We got free installation. If they install, you may have to buy new water hoses. That was required in my state.

QuestionDoes the door lid lock, when it is washing?

- Answer Yes the door lid locks when your washing. The Wash Start Button doubles as a PAUSE button which after starting if pressed it will PAUSE the wash cycle and Unlock the lid so you can add more clothes. I use this pause button all the time to add more clothes after starting the wash cycle. Overall this washer is excellent.

QuestionAnyone having any issues with this washer not wanting to turn on regularly? I find that I have to unplug it and wait, sometimes even between loads. Other things work on the outlet with not issue, so not an outlet problem. Can I call BB or do I need LG?

- Answer We regret to read about the issues that you experiencing with the LG 5.5 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Top Load Washer with TurboWash3D™ Technology, Model # WT7800CW not turning on regulalrly and you having to unlup it then plug it back in to get it to turn on and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Check to see if the Start/Pause button looks out of place. The Control Panel may need to be replaced or it may be a display board issue or that the main board needs replacement if the power relay is stuck. The unit will have to be inspected by a technician to determine what the issue is. Please contact our Customer Support Center at (800) 243-0000 or you can look to see if there is an LG Authorized Repair Center near you by visiting our site at https://www.lg.com/us/support/find-service-center ...^IFV

- Answer Front load washers generally use less water and take a little longer than top load washers. This washer has an impeller rather than an agitator. ^Daphane
