Why can we not use the oven drawer for storage? null

i think they say that when you clean the oven it can get very hot there .i use the drawer for storage like my castiron skillets because they made on cast iron and the heat wont affect them

Hello there. Thanks for reaching out. Your pans and bakeware—like baking sheets, skillets, casserole dishes, pizza stones—are safe if kept in the oven drawer. As long as they are made of material that is oven-safe, they will not be damaged under the heating element. Although LG doesn't recommend it. `Jai.

That is a catch basin for overflow from oven, however we do keep a large skillet in it
