The label can be changed. You first click on the inputs icon button on the remote control, just below the wheel. Then you go down to the bottom of the list that appears on the TV, on the right, and select “all inputs”. When “inputs” screen comes up, you select one of the active inputs on the left, then select “input label” on the right and you can change the label. ^Daphane
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found a solution to my own question. LG's response was incorrect on this device depending on your hookup that is. If your device such as Apple TV is connected to the TV either directly or through a soundbar, it will pull the name of the input from the device. You cannot change the name of the device on the TV, but rather you have to change the name of the device on the actual device. I had to update the device name on my Apple TV itself. Then once I turned the whole system off and back on, the LG TV now recognized the new name as "Apple TV" rather than "Living Room" or "Input 2." Key takeaway... the input name is pulled directly from the device itself.
