My LG 55" OLED CX worked immediately through eARC to MY LG Dolby Atmos 5. 1.2 soundbar. I plugged one end of the HDMI into the TVs HDMI/eARC port, and the other into the HDMI Out/eARC port on the soundbar and it worked immediately, with no further setup required. I can't speak for other brands of soundbars, but matching it with an LG eARC soundbar was a totally painless experience. The quality of this TV is unparalleled, I cannot recommend it enough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your receiver is likely newer than my Denon (15 years old - no eARC port). We were told that our surround sound speakers should still work, but don't use port 2 on the TV. Bottom line-no it didn't work. We had no sound. Tried to use an optical cable - still no sound. We are waiting for our new Sonos sound bar and I guess our old receiver and surround speakers add to the technology landfill..... So warning - if you think you can just switch out your 15 year old plasma (It was awesome), with a new OLED tv, not so fast. Be prepared to lay out more cash for other components you will have to "update" even though they worked fine a day before
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Denon AVR-S750H receiver and connected my set top box to the Denon then from the EArc on the Denon to the EArc HDMI port on the LG TV (there is just one on the LG TV mine is on 2). It seems to be OK with that. I initially did the same connection but on the LG TV I connected up to the main HDMI port 4. with one cable This gave me problems when accessing Netfix it would work for a while and then try to re boot itself. After reading up on EArc I could see why , not sure why it even worked at all. In any event switching to the correct EArc port 2 it as I said cleared that up. I did have to mess around with the TV settings a bit its one of those things that its actually logical but first time is a learning experience. We have only had the TV a couple of weeks and can only say that this TV is the best I have seen. OLED is the way to go if you can rustle up the cash. Cant comment on longterm reliability etc
