The included mount Gallery Mount with Recess Box does allow the TV to be flush to the wall. ^Daphane
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you use the included wall mount, then the entire back side of the tv will be flush with the wall. You literally wont be able to run your fingers through the back of the tv. Not even a wire. But dont let my statement confused you. You can still run usb cables, hdmi, ect to the back of the tv. You'll just have to pull out the tv from being flush to the wall, the included mount is capable of being pulled back out and being pushed back in( flush to the wall). But this is only if you're going to remove the tv from the mount or connect a certain cable to the tv. I'm telling you, the tv sits so flush you cannot even sneak your hand through the back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This TV sits flush against the wall for us since we used a recessed receptacle in the wall when planning for the TV from the get-go. It is an amazing TV and has a really nice profile on the wall due to its own wall mount rack that is specifically designed for this TV and comes in the box. We also used the Geek Squad to do the delivery/install and they were neat, professional and did an outstanding job! Good Luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No recessed box is required if using the included mount (TV will be flush with wall ) as long as you make accommodations for the power & data cables.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your wall studs are 16" apart, center to center, then you can use the installation bracket that comes with the TV. I have the recessed power box that the power cord is wrapped up and tucked into, however the TV is so thin that unfortunately the power plug even wrapped up and tucked in the plug box pushes the TV slightly away from the wall. It is still mounted pretty close to the wall... see my attached pictures
