- Answer I don’t know the exact decibel level I don’t have a DB meter but in my opinion unit runs pretty quiet and is acceptable noise level

- Answer As per the instructions on page 17 of the owner's manual for the LG 550 Sq. Ft. 12,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner - White, Model # LW1217ERSM, bullet #7 CLEAN FILTER: 'Clean Filter' LED will light up to notify you your filter needs to be cleaned. After cleaning the filter, press "Temp ▲▼" together to turn off the 'Clean Filter' light. (Filter reset must be done from the unit's control panel not the remote control)...^IFV

QuestionHow does this unit drain the collected condensation water? I have read some reviews that say it has leaked into the house running down the wall from the sill.

- Answer It has a hole on the back side to drain water. It comes with a plastic piece to insert into the hole which extends out to keep the water away from the unit. If installed properly with an angle down out the window the water should flow to the back of the ac and out the hole

- Answer There is nothing technical that is involved in the installation of this unit, but it is very heavy. you will need to remove the shell and install it that way then get some help to insert the unit into the shell, assuming the the one purchased has a slide out chasis. Make sure that you chose a place that is close enough to a receptacle and that you use the supplied bracing.

- Answer It depends on your settings. If you have it on "Energy Saver", it will shut off once it reaches the desired temp. Or if you have it on timer, it will shut off at the desired time.

- Answer You should check the slant on a/cb if it lean to far into room u wlll get water on your carpet. If it’s sloped to far down in the back that might be why you get the water problem? There is a little hole in the bottom of the ac, for drainage if the water is coming to fast it will overflow out the back n sided

- Answer The Slide In/Out chassis for this ENERGY STAR® LG 12,000 BTU Smart wi-fi Enabled Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW1217ERSM is intended for ease of installation. This unit is designed for installation in standard single-hung or double-hung windows with actual opening widths from 27" to 39". The top and bottom window sashes must open sufficiently to allow a clear vertical opening of 16" from the bottom of the upper sash to the window stool. The outside of the cabinet must extend outward for at least 12" and there should be no obstacles, such as a fence or wall within 20" from the back of the cabinet as that would prevent heat from being radiated out from the condenser. All the side louvers in the cabinet must remain exposed to the outside of the structure. Restriction of outside air will greatly reduce the unit's cooling efficiency and may even cause the unit to burn itself out. Non-window installations using wall sleeves, holes in walls or other types of installation are nor recommended...^IFV
