We bought a GE Monogram 36" induction cook top from Best Buy. It's a beautiful unit. However, the buzzing sound when a burner is on high is so loud and disruptive that the Geek Squad repair person said the sound was unbearable for him. He immediately ordered a replacement until The replacement was installed shortly thereafter and to our disappointment it made the same loud grating buzz. The range hood didn't diminish the sound. Since the Best Buy store near us sells mostly gas, not induction, their experience with the problem is not great. They were at a loss as to what to do to reduce the buzz to a tolerable level. A repair person from GE customer service came to the house as well and they were worthless. They said just live with it and couldn't be bothered to seek a solution. Living with the grating buzz is not an option so we will be swapping out the cook top for a gas one. It's too bad because we love the looks and speed of induction. We have tried a dozen different brands of pots and pans and they only make the slightest difference in buzz loudness. If anyone has solved the problem let me know.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The LG induction range has a fan noise that comes on when the range is in use, and stays on until the stovetop is no longer hot. It's enough noise that it prompted me to search for anyone having a problem with it, which led me here. But I would not say it's intolerably loud or annoying, it's just a fan noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It makes some noise, fans and relays clicking etc.... it's not bad sounding noise, definitely a lot quieter then an exhaust hood. The sounds are nothing particular to this induction range. It's just not silent like a conventional electric range
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fan is Noisy. I thought it was defective. A technician came in and changed it and the sound is the same. Had I known I would not have bought it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The electronic processes involved with induction cooking may create some background noises. You may hear a slight buzzing sound when cooking on the cooktop. These noises are part of the induction cooking process and are considered normal. Some cookware will buzz, depending on the construction or base material. The buzz may be more noticeable if the contents of the pan are cold. As the pan heats up, the noise will decrease. The noise will also decrease if the power level setting is reduced. NOTE: When using the induction cooktop, operational noises are more noticeable while cooking in Boost mode. But very loud noises are not normal when induction cooking. The cooktop fan may turn on to reduce the temperature of the product, even when the surface elements are not being used. ^CP
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dont buy it. It is a very noisy item at your kitchen. I am going to return this to the store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.LG is the loudest fan I have ever heard. Literally it comes on as soon as you turn the knob on. It doesn’t shut off until the stove top is cool. Biggest mistake in our kitchen. You can’t make a sauce or soup unless you are ok with a this terrible noisemaker.
