My son-in law uses a trivet with success. It was of high quality. So far I cover the stove with a large mat (Target) which I remove when cooking. My microwave is over the stovetop and I am concerned about dropping a cup or plate. Just be careful moving heavy pots and pans and dropping them from a distance. So far no scratches or damage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for raising your concern regarding LG Range (LSIL6336F) model. The LG LSIL6336F is a glass cooktop that can be susceptible to scratches with normal use. While silicone trivets are designed to protect surfaces from heat, there are mixed experiences with their use on glass cooktops. When using silicone trivets on a glass cooktop, it is important to ensure that they are heat-resistant and suitable for the specific cooktop model. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I find the stainless bar across the top on the front is what scratches. Not really the cooktop itself.
