Q: QuestionIs a vent hood required with this range?
Asked by LabRat.
- A:Answer Although the LG - 6.9 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Gas Convection Range - Stainless Steel, Model # LDG4313ST vents internally, it does not require a vent hood. The decision on whether to install one or not is really up to you. Ducted hoods actually move polluted air to the outside and get rid of all forms of pollution caused by cooking. They will draw fresh air from the outside to keep your kitchen air clean and prevent cooking odors and air borne grease from getting onto your kitchen cabinets. Ductless hoods on the other hand do not vent to the outside and consist of a fan with a charcoal filter that sucks up grease particles, odor and smoke. The air in your kitchen is filtered through the charcoal grill and recirculated back into your kitchen. There are some LG Over-the-Range Microwave ovens that will perform this same task that you could also install in place of a vent hood...^IFV

Q: Questionhow do i clean a oil spill in the lower oven. oil is under the main tray the oven smokes when in use.
Asked by simran.
- A:Answer Hi there, Simran. Cleaning up an oil spill in the lower oven can be challenging, but we're here to guide you through it. If oil has spilled under the main tray, causing smoke when the oven is in use, here's what you can try: EasyClean® Method: For light soil, activate the EasyClean cycle. Spray the interior with water, avoiding heating elements. Let the cycle run for 10–20 minutes, then hand-wipe with a soft cloth. Note: This works best for minor spills. Self-Clean Cycle: For heavy, built-up oil residue, use the Self Clean option. This deep-cleaning cycle uses high heat to burn off residue, but it generates significant heat and odor, so ensure proper ventilation. Accessing the Spill Area: If the oil is trapped under the main tray and not easily reachable, carefully remove any accessible components to clean underneath. Be cautious and consult the owner's manual for guidance on removing and replacing parts safely. https://www.lg.com/us/cooking-appliances/lg-ldg4313st-double-oven-gas-range#pdp_specs For more help or questions, reach out to us at @LGUSSupport on social media. Q: QuestionHow durable is this flat top. 22 years ago I set down a cast iron skillet a little too hard on a glass top and had it shatter. I like cooking with my cast iron but need to make sure that if I do it again it won't crack or scratch the top.
Asked by Hursa3.
- A:Answer Hi there! Thank you for your question. The LG LDG4313ST is designed with a flat-top surface, which is generally durable and resistant to scratches and cracks. However, while the ceramic glass top is designed to withstand normal cooking use, it's still a good idea to handle cast iron skillets with care. Cast iron is quite heavy, and dropping or setting it down too hard can potentially damage the glass top. To avoid this, try to gently place the skillet on the cooktop and avoid any rough handling. Q: QuestionIf I already have a gas range that I am having you take away, which gas range installation should I be choosing? I am guessing the less expensive one, but wanted to make sure.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hello there, thank you for your question about the LG LDG4313ST gas range! If you are replacing an existing gas range, you typically only need to choose a standard installation service, which is often less expensive. This usually includes connecting the new range to your existing gas line and ensuring it operates safely. However, if any modifications are required for the installation, such as new gas lines or additional parts, this could incur extra costs. It's always best to confirm with your retailer or installation service provider for specific recommendations based on your setup.
