The height includes the grates. The actual height of the unit matches my counter top.

I don’t know why they wouldn’t specify that because that’s what we all really want to know. Unfortunately for me, my counters are 37” and my range was just delivered today so I have a full 1” of counter side & cabinet showing... LG apparently outsources their customer service too so it was painful trying to get help. Good luck!

LIke all our Slide-In Range Oven's, it has a height of 36" to the cooktop surface so it can be flush with standard kitchen countertops that have a height of 36". The vent trim in the back of the unit has a height of 1.9" (1 7/8")...^IFV
