• As a general rule, the width of a 16:9 TV (i.e., a standard modern "widescreen", like this) is about 0.87 times the diagonal. (The size is always given in terms of the diagonal.) So, the width of a 60" TV is ~52.2". The feet are slightly inside that, but if you can accommodate that width, you should be good.
