When asking the question for any TV which is better you need to take into account the specifications of the two you are comparing otherwise it's not going to be an "apples to apples" comparison. So the first thing you need to look at is the model number. This LG has the model number 65UH5500. This means it is in the 5000 series mid to low range sets vs. a 9000 series which is top of line (OLED follows a similar distinction). Samsung uses a "6, 7, 8, etc. Series" distinction. You also have to look at the display specific specs like Hertz (Hz) rating and others. This one is 60Hz which may have some motion blur during sports and other fast moving video. My son has a 60Hz TV and it looks great. I do see the blur every now and then, but not enough to be annoying. My 65" 3D TV is a LG and has 240 Hz. I like both brands and own both brands. Since I am a 3D fan I went with the LG 65" because they have the passive 3D glasses (not on the one in question though). I didn't want to have to deal with charging them or costly replacements. If you want to make an informed decision it's okay to look here at the reviews and comments, but you should really look for professional reviews since they are the best and removes the bias some owners have because they are only fans of a certain brand no matter what. Years ago I was a fan of Panasonic Plasma TV's and wouldn't consider anything else. I currently don't own a single Panasonic TV. I'm sure they still make nice TV's, but I like LG and Samsung better. Good-luck with your TV hunt.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No better No Worst ... .... Check out the list of Movies that received terrible reviews ..yet won Academy Awards. Be careful who you listen too
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends on what you're talking about. As some have said, the very high end LG OLED models are simply gorgeous and might be the best looking TV you will find in any retail outlet. In the sub $1300 range I find that Samsungs have much brighter colors than the LG Models. However, in my personal experience, the LG TVs just seem to be more reliable over the long haul. They never seem to break ever!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes LG overall is better quality than Samsung. Samsung has some nice higher end sets but they skimp on the mid/lower range areas. Just google Samsung class action lawsuits and get educated, don't be fooled by advertising and a rabid fan base.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not even close to being better than a Samsung, these LG sets get the worst reviews.
