• Hello there. Thanks for reaching out. It is problem arise due to LED reflectors that falls down from their position. You just need to place them back to their position and that's it.White dots can be seen on the black screen when turning on the TV after being in a cold place for a long time. This is not a malfunction but a result of the Liquid Crystal material changing state after a long time at very extreme low temperatures, such as in the winter. `Jai.

• Regrettably, yes. To get it to go away when watching tv, you go into the picture setting, then advanced settings, and then brightness setting to set the Auto Dynamic Contrast to High, and the LED Local Dimming to High. You will see it on start up, but then the white spots will disappear.
