The difference is where you buy it. The AUB version is for sale at warehouse clubs. The PUB version is the normal retail version. A difference in model number prevents price matching with warehouse clubs. In technical specs, both TV's are the same.

Please try again later.The LG webpage for each TV says that the AUB accessories include a “Magic Remote w/ Magic Tap (NFC)”, and the PUB only includes a “Magic Remote” (no mention of Magic Tap). I’m not sure if they actually both have it, and they webpage for PUB is inaccurate, but it looks deliberate. Either way it’s a silly feature that only works with LG mobile phones. Tap your phone on the remote and it will start screen casting from your LG phone to your TV or vise-versa. If you don’t have an LG phone, you might feel pressured to unnecessarily spend more money on one to go with your LG AUB TV, so you’re probably better off without it on the PUB (I’m being sarcastic - it’s a dumb feature).
