We watch from positions 9, 11 (sofas) or 21 feet when eating. All those distances are fine for a 65 screen with OLED

The OLED allows you to see picture at any angle. Mine is 13’ from couch, but that’s my preference. You could easily be at 30 and happy.

That will depend on how you are using the LG C9 65 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # OLED65C9PUA (i.e. what you are watching). The Guidelines from the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers recommends sitting at a distance where the screen fills up about 30° of your field of vision as a minimum for a good experience. This generally provides good guidance, but users that use their TVs mostly for watching movies might benefit from sitting a bit closer to get a more theater-like. The SMPTE "reference" position for movie theaters and the THX recommendation is about 40°. The minimum angle of vision works well for most usages though and sitting at a distance where the screen fills 30° of your horizontal field of view should be comfortable for most people. The Recommended Mixed Usage Distance (30°) for a 65" screen is 8.9' (2.69 m) and the Recommended Cinema Distance (40°) for a 65" screen is 6.5' (1.98 m)...^IFV
