HDR Stands for High Dynamic Range. Basically making the whites more bright and the blacks and shaded areas more dark. The goal is to get an image with a wider color gamut and to keep details on lower lit parts of the scenes or images you are viewing so everything looks natural as if you were looking at it directly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDR stands for high dynamic range. Let's just say it adds a lot more color and Detail. But the best source is 4k bluray. I just got the c9 and I can say 4k movies just pop. If you watch any Avengers movies or anything like that and 4K is amazing.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.High Dynamic Range - HDR expands the range of both contrast and color significantly. Bright parts of the image can get much brighter, so the image seems to have more "depth." Colors get expanded to show more bright blues, greens, reds and everything in between.
