  • QuestionWhat is the difference between led - oled - Qled

    Asked by Tom.

    • Answer LED and LED LCD are one and the same technology. Older LCD TVs used Cold Cathode Fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) to provide backlighting whereas LED Backlit LCD TVs use an array or smaller more-efficient light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to illuminate the screen. OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode. Each pixel in an OLED display is made of a material that glows when it receives an electrical signal (an effect that is referred to as electroluminance). Each tiny OLED pixel in the screen creates its own light depending on how much electrical current you send it. OLEDs have infinite contrast ratios since OLEDs can produce perfect blacks. It is the only technology capable of perfect blacks and extremely bright whites on a per-pixel basis. LG does not manufacture QLEDs and for an explanation of what QLED is, we recommend you contact the manufacturers of QLEDs...^IFV

  • QuestionWhat ethernet cable should I buy to hook to internet, cat 5, cat6 or cat7?

    Asked by DavT.

    • Answer Hi DavT. Which Ethernet cable to use to use for the LG 65 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65UM6900PUA is at your discretion. Everyone has different needs for their network setup. Start with the speed of your home internet connection. If you have gigabit internet (1Gbps), an old Ethernet cable will hold you back. If you have a slower connection — perhaps 10 or 20 megabits per second — you’re good with anything Cat 5 or newer. If you don’t know your internet subscription’s actual speed, connect your PC directly to the modem and load a speed test. Doing so will give you a starting idea of what you’ll need in terms of wired connectivity. If your subscription only supports 50Mbps downloads, purchasing a 1Gbps Ethernet cable is simply overkill — at least for now. Finally, consider your router. Many cheap routers only support Ethernet up to 100 megabits per second, so the router will bottleneck anything newer than Cat 5. Even the best home routers rarely support more than gigabit Ethernet, meaning Cat 6a and Cat 7 are of questionable use. If your ISP provides a slow, clunky modem/router combo, request an upgrade or purchase a standalone router with better connectivity. In most cases, cat6 or cat6a Ethernet is good enough to provide better transfer speeds. However, you can go for the most advanced cat7 cables too...^IFV

  • QuestionI have Bose L1 model II system, can I connect the speaker system with TV to sing karaoke? If yes, what cable I should use? Thank you.

    Asked by Stephanie.

    • Answer Hi Stephanie. Regrettably, without knowing what connectivity your Bose L1 Model II System has and if it can play CD-G or CD+G discs, we cannot determine if you can connect it to the LG 65 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65UM6900PUA to sing karaoke. The TV can be connected to external devices in one of two ways. The first is via its Optical Digital Audio Output using an Optical Cable. The second way is through the HDMI IN 2/ARC port on the TV which can be connected to an HDMI ARC port on an external device using an HDMI cable. You can check your owner's manual for your speaker system or contact its manufacturer to see what connectivity it has and how to connect to a TV and to find out if it can play the CD-G or CD+G karaoke discs. There are other ways to play Karaoke on the TV from YouTube through your smartphone...^IFV
