We have the same problem we’ve had the LG model number DLEX4370W dryer for a little over a year and I’ve had to go out and clean the lint from the end of my vent three times because the sensor showed that the vent was plugged and I always get a handful of Lent. The design of the filter screen allows Lynn to pass through more than it should. Why doesn’t LG step up and come up with a a new screen that will catch more of the lint I’d be glad to pay for the new part. Tired of getting up on a ladder every three months.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The explanation given to me by LG does not make any sense. I checked my local building codes and they specifically state that the shorter the dryer vent hose the better. The problems arris when a vent hose is too long, not too short. Best Buy when installing the dryer confirmed that the length of the hose was very good (it is about three feet long and just about straight). The fact that the lint screen is NOT catching any lint is NOT due to my hose. It is a design flaw or a faulty lint screen assembly. I have owned and used dozens of dryers in my lifetime and all of them caught an adequate amount of lint. The failure of this dryer to do so is unacceptable since as senior citizens we cannot get out on a ladder to constantly clean the expelled lint from the exterior vent assembly.

All our previous dryers would catch that. I think we all understand that some “dust” should end up blowing out because otherwise they’d have to make a trap that would get clogged all the time. But there are no excuses for large size particles going out. It’s a defective design and LG needs to own up to it and provide lint traps that actually work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same problem. I've replace the lint screen twice and it lets the lint pass right on bye. Its unfortunate that a manufacturer provides excuses instead of solutions. Beware of design flaws.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience due to the issues that you are experiencing with your new LG 7.4 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Smart wi-fi Enabled SteamDryer™, Model # DLEX3700W. Lint filters do not and cannot catch every single particle of lint from your clothing, bedding towels, etc., so the lint will flow into the vent. You will need to make sure that your venting conforms to your local building codes to ensure that it is not too short...^IFV
