Hi there! Thank you for reaching out. We understand that your LG OLED77C4PUA TV is randomly shutting off, which can be frustrating. Based on your description, there are a few potential causes for this issue, and we'd like to help resolve it. Timer Settings: Sometimes, the TV may be set with timers that could be turning it off. You can check and adjust these settings by going to the "Settings" menu, then selecting "Time" to verify if the Off Time, On Time, or Sleep Timer are enabled. If any are set, try disabling them. Overheating: Electronic devices can generate heat, and overheating may cause your TV to shut down automatically. Ensure the TV has proper ventilation around it to prevent overheating. Cache/Memory Issue: If you're using streaming apps, it's possible that a memory overload is causing the TV to turn off. We recommend turning off the QuickStart+ feature and SimpLink in the settings, as well as exiting any streaming apps when you're done watching. HDMI-CEC Devices: If you have any HDMI-CEC devices connected, such as a soundbar or streaming device, try disabling the HDMI-CEC or SimpLink feature. Sometimes, devices like a Bose SoundTouch soundbar can send commands to turn off the TV. To start troubleshooting, please try the steps mentioned above, and if the issue persists, a reset may help. Unplug the TV for 30 seconds, then plug it back in to see if that resolves the issue. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It may be too soon to claim this is the solution, but I've had my C4 for a couple of months. I had no random shut offs until yesterday. The day before for the first time I had streamed a lot of content on LG Channels. One of the suggestions to resolve the random shut off issue I found on LG's Canadian website was to unplug the TV for a short while (I cannot recall how long, but it was no more than five minutes). I unplugged mine for four hours and it hasn't turned off again randomly since then whereas yesterday morning it was turning off every 10 minutes or so. LG's Canadian website also mentioned making sure you exit any streaming service properly versus just changing the input, but I don't see a way to exit LG Channels other than to select a different input. Given that many of the people who have complained about random shut offs have also mentioned using various streaming services, I wonder if it's actually the streaming that's causing the problem. Maybe there's a memory problem that only gets cleared when the set gets unplugged? That's just a guess on my part, but I am happy that I've at least temporarily resolved my issue by unplugging the set for a while. I'll come back to update this comment if the problem resumes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi. We regret to read that your 77-inch Class LG OLED evo C4 4K Smart TV 2024, Model # OLED77C4PUA randomly shuts off. Several factors can cause the TV to randomly shut down, and troubleshooting is required to resolve the issue. If you have it connected to a voice assistant like Alexa or Google Assistant, verify that routines set on those devices aren’t triggering shutdowns. You can try disconnecting the TV from Wi-Fi as a test and see if the behavior persists without Wi-Fi. The issue may be due to a faulty power supply or a loose connection to the outlet if the power cord's plug is not securely inserted...^Ivan.
