Yes. Tried two new G2’s and both had the same issue. From what I can see on a deep dive into this problem from various forums, it’s a software issue with newer C2 and G2’s. Spent an hour with LG “tech”. No help at all. Typical call center crap. Bummer cause the G2 looks great on the wall and has amazing sound and picture. However, if it can’t stay connected to WiFi it’s useless to me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought a new LG oled G2 and have experienced wifi problems. LG's approach is to look at the customers wifi network as the primary problem, ignoring some important facts. I have many devices utilizing my wifi network, other LG televisions, microwaves, refrigerators, printers, laptops, iPads and iPhones to name a few. All of those devices can see my network and connect. The exception is the LG OLED G2. While all my other devices can see at least 6 available wifi networks including mine, the LG OLED cannot find any networks. Lg sent a repair tech who replaced wifi board, main board and all associated cables. The result was the same as the LG OLED with original parts and it could find no available networks. The tech measured my wifi signal strength and tried to connect to the TV via his cell phone HotSpot without success. He called LG tech support. LG suggested that my wifi was blocked, too weak, or perhaps too strong, finally suggesting that I needed a wifi - enet conversion box to fix the problem. After LG tech support suggested my network was simply too strong, I disconnected it. All my other devices listed 5 available networks, the LG G2 OLED could not find any available networks. LG is trying to ignore the obvious fact that the wifi in the OLED G2 series has some serious flaws. In their latest release of the G3 series they added a certified 6-E wifi, so they knew the old one was a failure. You can tell consumers all you want to unplug their sets, reset the router, wait forever, but it simply doesn't work. LG is gambling that most customers use a cable or satellite box and will never realize the wifi doesn't work until after warranty, but for those that rely on it, the options are not good and LG is showing a lot of disrespect for their customer base.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My 77 inch G2 has been working as designed, fantastic!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same problem here. I start each day saying “Jesus please let this tv work!” When it magically decides to work it’s great for a few hours. Turn it off and you can’t get it to run again. I’ve learned so much from the internet and LG Tech support I could provide tech support for them and I’m no IT expert. Thankful Best Buy is taking it back and we’re getting another one. After reading these messages, we may switch brands and go with Samsung. We have a 65” that’s 2 years old and runs perfectly. No issues. The 77” is totally unpredictable. There isn’t one day where we have not had a problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had the same issue. No pattern to the failure. Works fine for 1 hour, 1 day, but never more than 2 days without a failure. All software is up to date, etc. Internet says that maybe there is some incompatibility with Google brand WIFI device, but I have other LG and Samsung TVs that work fine. Very frustrating on a TV this expensive. The only solution is to unplug the power to the TV and plug it back in. The TV Mounts flush with the wall and the TV is very large, but very thin, so pulling the TV away from the wall felt very risky. Luckily the Best Buy installers showed my how to pull it away from the wall and push it back in safely. I am assuming that they knew I would need to know how to do this because of this issue. Lucky we had an ethernet jack nearby and were able to get an ethernet cable up through the wall, without taking the TV down. Had the TV needed to come down, it would have been returned. Once on ethernet, there have been no problems, but what a terrible experience. If you really want this TV and must use WIFI, then I would install an electrical outlet behind the TV that can be power cycled with an app. It will be the best $20 you spend.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have also experienced intermittent wifi disconnects. Fortunately I have ethernet nearby.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Received a G3 this week. Wifi disconnects with one of two symptoms both requiring us to disconnect power from TV to resolve. I am running latest update 03.11.10 and disabled Quick Start+ to troubleshoot firmware First symptom wifi shuts off. Cannot enable wifi in TV settings until power is unplugged Second symptom wifi disconnects and will not reconnect to my network “unknown error” until power is unplugged No alerts from Google home Wifi of an outage and AppleTV 4K will start the same movie fine. Also tested running movie from both TV and Apple TV. Movie is still running AppleTV input 2 when TV intermittently fails
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same issue here, have my 3rd one coming tomorrow. It’s the last try for me. I’ll get a a95k after this
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the 77" G2 as well as the 55" C2. I have never had any WiFi issues with either one of them at any point in time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same issue. It's extremely frustrating, I returned it and got a new one but the problem persists. Will try troubleshooting with support again before getting rid of it.
