The dryer is a steam dryer. With the connections used you do nothing but select the steam option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because the LG 9.0 cu. ft. Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Electric Dryer w/ TurboSteam™, Model # DLEX9000V has steam cycles, it has to be connected to a cold water supply line that will provide the water for the steam it generates. It does not come with a drain hose & a drain hose is not needed. Unlike Gas Dryers that can be connected to a grounded 3-wire 120 V, 60 Hz outlet, this dryer, like other Electric Dryers has its own terminal block that must be connected to its own dedicated 240 VAC, 60 Hz single-0phase circuit fused at 30 amperes. Depending on what your local building codes & ordinances are or in their absence, the latest edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC) ANSI/NFPA 70, you can use a a 30 A, 240 V, UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper or a UL-listed, 30 A, 240 V, 4-wire, #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor power cord through the strain relief. A 4-wire connection is required for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as all new construction after January 1, 1996. A 3-wire connection is NOT permitted on new construction after January 1, 1996, or where local codes & regulations prohibit grounding through the neutral conductor. You will need to check your local codes or consult with your local building inspector to determine which power cord to use. The appropriate power cord has to be purchased separately...^IFV
