The USB port on the LG DVD Player with MP3 Playback/JPEG Viewer and USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132H supports USB storage devices (USB HDD, USB Stick) that are formatted with FAT16 or FAT32. A USB device which requires additional program installation when you have connected it to a computer is not supported. If you use a USB extension cable, USB HUB, USB Multi-reader, or External HDD, the USB device may not be recognized. The USB port for this unit cannot be connected to a PC/Laptop and Digital Cameras and mobile phones are not supported. The playable video codec formats are "Xvid", "MPEG-1", and "MPEG-2". It must have less than : Less than 600 files. ^CP
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I saw another that was excellent but I'm not sure I agree with the statement that the max is 600 files. I had a 32 GB flash drive and put almost 25 GB of mp3 files on it. Many of the files could not be read by the dvd player. After much trial and error I found that if I divided the 25GB fairly evenly over 3 flash drives (FAT32 format) then all files could be read. I cannot say for sure but I suspect the max is 10 GB but do not quote me on that. I just know this worked for me. BTW, the max capacity of the flash drives was 16GB for two and 32GB for the third. Flash Drive #1: 1145 files at 9.1 GB Flash Drive #2: 872 files at 7.4 GB Flash Drive #3: 1603 files at 9.3 GB
