“How does the phone open? I read the fingerprinting doesn't work as well and I thought it was with face recognition but now I don't find 3 D face recognition anymore.”

There are several options available for configuring the screen lock settings on the LG G8X ThinQ™ Dual Screen with 128GB Memory Cell Phone | Unlocked. Tap O > Settings > Lock screen & security > Select screen lock and then select the method you prefer. You can select None which deactivates the screen lock function, select Swipe to swipe on the screen to unlock the phone, select Pattern to draw a pattern to unlock the screen, select PIN to enter a numeric password to unlock the screen, select Password to enter an alphanumeric password to unlock the screen, or select Fingerprints to unlock the screen by using your fingerprint.. Facial recognition is not listed as an available feature. If you incorrectly attempt to unlock the device 5 times, the screen is blocked for 30 seconds...^IFV

Instead of being under the camera, on the back, the LG-G8X fingerprint is on the face of the phone. It still has swipe, pin and pattern unlock so there shouldn't be any problems. I LalalalalaLoVe the G8X! I have the duel screen, the entire system is about as dope as ya can get!! Good luck
