Q: QuestionWill replacing the main SSD by a Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 2280 (or adding the EVO Plus in the second SSD slot) work right? Did anyone try it?

• A:Answer As long as it's an M.2 2280 SSD it will work. That is the size of the cards that will fit into the SSD slots & regardless of brand or manufacturer, it will work.Same thing applies for the memory. The 17Z990-R.AAS8U1 comes with 2 x 8GB DDR4 2400MHz memory installed. One slot is onboard so it can't be changed, but you can exchange the second slot with 16GB for a total of 24GB.

Q: QuestionI am aware that you can install either a SATA or NVME SSD. But can it handle a mix of the two, eg. a SATA SSD on one slot and a NVME SSD on the other or they need to be the same type installed on both slots?

• A:Answer We list the hard drive as an M.2 2280 SSD and the interface as SATA3. The M.2 interface is designed to use either legacy SATA mode or the newer PCI-Express modes but the drive will pick which one to use. ^CP

Q: QuestionWhenever I plug my USB-C wall charger (it's 10W, 5V, 2A) into my LG Gram 17, I get an error message that I need to use a charger that supplies at least 10W. I know the charger works. Is it the PD (power delivery) system? Please tell me what's going on.

Q: QuestionCan this drive a 4k monitor while still using the onboard display at full resolution?

• A:Answer Yes, the system can drive a 4K monitor and the internal display at full resolution. In display options select extend the display. The system will display 4K resolution on the external 4K monitor, and full resolution on the on-board laptop display, at the same time.

Q: QuestionIs it possible the 17" is only using the RAM slot and doesn't have soldered RAM. I stuck in 16GB SODIMM bit when I booted it was still listing 16GB. Or does the device only support 16 in total?

Q: QuestionCan you upgrade the graphics card yourself? If so, what part could I get for it? I was looking forward this product's release, but am disappointed that it has poor integrated graphics, as I do 3D modelling and design, which these graphics can't support.

• A:Answer In most cases, it isn't possible to upgrade a laptop's graphics card. The vast majority of laptops have integrated graphics, which means the GPU (graphics processing unit) is permanently attached to the motherboard, and not removable as it is in a desktop PC. The Intel® UHD Graphics 620 in the 17Z990-R.AAS8U1 is an integrated unit. ^CP
