“LG Microwave Model LMC0975. Hi, all. I MUST TURN OFF the melodies & beeps. They wake the neighbor's baby upstairs. The microwave is great, BUT these noises are awful & I can't keep the unit if there's truly no way to turn these noises. Thanks!”

This method worked for me on 0.9 LG NeoChef "Hold the Clear button and Auto Reheat button for 3 seconds and it will turn off all sounds".

Yes, you can. Press and hold the clear button and the auto reheat button at the same time. After a few seconds the display will show if the horrible noise was turned off or on.

There is no way to turn off this annoying "melody." I finally had enough of the terrible noise and gave the microwave to my son. Too bad, cause I really like the exterior design.

To keep the beeps to a minimum set the timer out far enough to manually turn off the unit. Maybe not the most convenient, but if you like the microwave is with the effort. If you get a different one it could be worse.
