It opens easily, you can open it with one finger. My husband is left handed and he has no problem with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not being left handed I can only surmise that it would be fairly easy to open left handed. As long as your fingers can grab the door you should have no real problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very easy. I like the lack of handle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very easily done. I’m left handed and open it with my left while putting food in and taking food out with my right hand.

NeoChef™ Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and EasyClean®, Model # LMC1575BD is a left swing door (i.e. opens from right to left) which should make iteasier to open with your left hand...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All microwave ovens with swing doors I have ever seen open to the left - requiring the use of the left hand for the purpose - because right handed people prefer the keypad on the right. By the time we left handed people have grown old enough to use a microwave we've certainly learned to live in a right handed world, but in this case the right-to-left swing actually gives us an advantage. In fact, I should think it is easier for a left hand person to open the door than for a right handed person. A leftie myself, I have no trouble whatsoever, and hadn't even thought about it until I saw the question. Actually, the absence of a keypad means less stabbing around with the right pointer finger, so this particular design would probably be easier in general for that reason.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you set it on the right side of a counter, it might be a little challenging. So, if you are left handed I would definitely set this microwave on the left side of the counter.
