The light used to illuminate the interior of the microwave is provided by an LED Lamp Holder Assembly, LG Part No. AEJ74859403. The cost for the part and shipping is in the order of about $30. The part is quite easy to replace once one has removed the microwave’s cover, a task requiring a torx bit able to remove tamper proof screws. Remove the screws, slide back and remove the cover, and the part is immediately exposed and easily removed for replacement. The part is shown in the attached photos, one side showing the part number, and the other the two LEDs that illuminate the microwave’s interior.

Why not specify this in your answer and why provide part #? Also frustrating that your website touts LED Light will last 35,000-50,000 hours but our light burned out in 1 year and now I have to pay a technician to change it. From LG: As we completely understand your inquiry, please be advised that if the LED lights no longer works replacement will require an authorized servicer, as the said parts is attached to the unit’s assembly that only technician can access. thus, replacement information is yet available on our system.This is to ensure that unit’s remaining warranty will not be compromised.
