You may be experiencing the same issue I've had with the LG Tone headphones (HBS-730).... LG has a manufacturing defect in that the Power switch used to turn these units Off/On frequently malfunctions. There are many times when I'm finished using my headphones (power ON), move the power switch to the OFF POSITION, and the headphones stay powered ON (Blue power light blinking). This is also confirmed by the phones still having a Bluetooth sync to my cell phone. I've had my headphones replaced thru warranty twice - and the same issue exists (confirmation of a manufacturing/quality issue with the power switch). I've called LG Customer Service and they were no help (deaf ears). I wish LG would tell us that the power switch has been redesign/fixed and in which models. Otherwise I will not buy their product (too frustrating evertime I want to turn off my earbuds!). Additionally, the battery drains if the power stays on,... and if you get an incoming, or place a call it's confusing because the call goes to the earbuds but you expect calls to be directed to your cell phone ear speaker (thought earbuds were turned off). LG - what's the status of your Power switch?? Such a simple thing to fix.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The blue light is only on when the device is powered on. If you are not using the device, hit the small power button to turn it off so that you don't waste the battery.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The blue light is an indicator that your headset is on and working. Once you turn it off the light stays off until you re-activate it for use. If you're not using them while you have them on then the light stays blinking to let you know it's still on and works. Depending on how much you use them, you can leave them on and nothing will happen, the battery life on these things are pretty good. If you hear "battery very low, please charge now" once it starts running out of juice then it's time to turn it off.
