QuestionIs this SideKick washer sold separately from the pedestal it is "sitting in"? I did not find any information about that and all photos are shown with the washer inside of its pedestal, so I am wondering.

- Answer LG SideKick model WD100CB is a pedestal, https://www.lg.com/us/washers/lg-WD100CB. It does not sit inside another pedestal and it is sold separately from the washer.

QuestionMy new sidekick does not have a quick wash cycle! Not happy! Does it not have this setting?

- Answer I have a new Sidekick, and have been using it for a couple months. The wash cycles are all fast and it seems to sense smaller loads and shorten the time. The cycles are about 30 minutes unless you add a 2nd rinse. I don't think they can shorten the wash cycle by much by adding quick wash.

- Answer All Electric dryers and Electric Ranges are sold without power cords. The reason for this is the government added a new safety code in the 1980's making the 220 line grounded at the outlet. Older homes have 3 prong outlets ... newer homes have 4 prong outlets. Just count the holes of the outlet. You can go to any home improvement store and purchase the proper cord according to your outlet. It's very simple to change a cord but is crucial you hook the proper wires to the correct pins on the unit! *Note Range and Dryer cords are different although they look very similar! Just go buy a new cord!

QuestionI live in an old tiny apartment in NY which neither has space nor the the pipes can handle a normal washing machine. Can I mount this side-kick in the kitchen as a standalone small washing machine?

- Answer I really doubt it. It's not an attractive piece unless stacked under and it's the size of the washer. It's obviously very short, but still the full size of the washer. It also only does very small loads.

- Answer While there will be some interchangeability in washer and dryer models across the same brand, you will not be able to stack laundry units from two different brands. ^Daphane

Ft. 6-Cycle High-Efficiency Pedestal Washer - White, Model # WD100CW is only compatible with LG Front Load Washers and could only be installed under Models WT1501CW, WT1701CW and WT1901CW Top Load Washers with the proper adapter but those are all discontinued models. It is not compatible with any of our current Top Load washers...^IFV

- Answer DIFFERENT BRANDS. THE RIGHT SIDE UPPER CORNER OF THE SIDEKICK HAS A BUTTON OR SWITCH THAT NEEDS TO BE ACTIVATED TO WORK. WHEN PRESSED WITH RIGHT SIDE FOOT OF THE LG WASHER IS ACTIVATED. IT CAN BE ACTIVATED WITH A WEIGHT AND WORK AS STAND ALONE, IF THE WEIGHT MOVES IT STOPS WORKING. - Answer The soap will go directly in with the load as it does not have a separate dispenser. This unit does not have a Hot water option. ^CP

QuestionCan you stack all the units. If I put this down, then set the main washer on top, can I also stack the dryer on top of the main washer. Aside from the height, I would like to stack all 3 ... pedestal washer, main washer, and dryer on top.

QuestionMy sidekick seems to still have water in it after cycles are completed , you can't see it but you can here it if you spin the drum . Is this typical ? How can I fix it. Machine is 3 months old. I believe it has been like this since installation .

- Answer If you hear a sloshing sound, but do not see water in the washing tub, then there is no issue. They put a balance ring beneath the tub to balance the load. This is mentioned in the manual for the sidekick washer.
