Yeah, juat secure it. We have it installed on our sailing yacht. There is a "weight" sensor on top, and you can just tape it down. It works great for us. Ours is mounted, so theres no chance of it moving, but in my experience, it doesn't move even if its not secured. Its perfect for us. Sure it's small, but we only wash t-shirts and shorts in the carribean anyways. Definitely overpriced, but oh well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can use it as a stand-alone if you wanted too. Has its own water and drain lines like a full size washer. And you should be able to put a lg dryer on top of it with no problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This instruction video says specifically it cannot be installed under a dryer (I thought I read one answer that suggested it could) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-g2UILJuig
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 29 in. 1.0 cu. ft. SideKick Pedestal Washer in Graphite Steel LG SideKick™, Model # WD200CV cannot be used as a standalone washing machine. The pedestal washer is designed to be installed underneath your LG compatible washing machine so you can easily wash two loads of laundry at the same time and although is does have it's own controls and can be operated independently of the compatible washer it has to be stacked to activate the stacking switch. The LG SideKick™ only works with LG front loading washing machines manufactured after 2009. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I saw the stacking kit for installing it under a dryer which has a small plastic piece to secure over the switch LG mentions on YouTube. A word of caution.... It can be operated alone, but at your own peril; without the weight on top secured to it, it is dangerous, so they will always, unconditionally, recommend against it... and there may be other reasons the engineers have that I don't t know. It has to be secured down, and is not designed to use on it's own. Imagine a heavy load of wet jeans that throws the machine around under high spin with nothing to secure it. Don't do it and if you do, don't blame LG or ruin thibgs for everyone who does follow the safety instructions! Just saying.
