- Answer You cannot wash AND dry clothes in a washing machine. You can however, run both the top washer and the bottom washer (Sidekick) at the same time. They each have their own water supply, drain, and controls. It is a GREAT product. Will not disappoint.

QuestionIs the sidekick compatible with a washer and dryer as a stacked unit? So all three would be stacked. Sidekick, washer and dryer on top. I currently have a stacked washer and dryer by LG and I have the room to add on the sidekick underneath the washer.

- Answer You cannot install the LG - SideKick 1.0 Cu. Ft. 6-Cycle High-Efficiency Pedestal Washer-Graphite Steel, Model # WD100CV under a stacked Washer and Dryer. That would be too much weight on the Pedestal Washer and the combined height would be precariously high...^IFV

- Answer No it does not dry clothes. It does get most of the water out from the spin cycle and you could air dry just fine.

- Answer No, the controls for the Sidekick are on the top of the drawer, and you can see them when the drawer is closed. I wouldn't want a panel anyway. I've got a regular pedestal under my dryer, and they look virtually identical until you see the hint of the "Start" button on the Sidekick.

QuestionHello, how were you able to attach the dryer with the sidekick below? Is yours a 27' and you used the 27' kit TSTK1? LG support told me that TSTK1 would work on my 29', but it does not. TSTK2 does not work either. I think we must use AAA30793431.

- Answer You will need to get the LG TSTK1 kit to install the sidekick under the dryer. Most likely you will need to do it yourself as Bestbuy's installation crews did not know how and refused to do the install. End up doing it myself without any issues. Here is my setup.

QuestionIs there some sort of a light installed in the sidekick? In the videos, there is but I don't think that is the case here. Are BestBuy and/or LG using misleading videos in the item that doesn't have one?

- Answer No light in the sidekick. But it is shallow and easy to see into with the laundry room light.

- Answer not sure... but it cannot be much... use very little soap... this thing is wonderful and works great. Perfect for that colored shirt you might worry about fading on other things, etc. or just a small load period. I washed two pairs of knit shorts and a knit shirt in one load that were DIRTY... and it worked perfectly to get all pieces completely clean.

- Answer I don't know if it will have enough clearance for it to get over the carpet. I have a throw rug in front of mine and I have to move the rug when I open the mini washer. Otherwise, it pushes the rug out of the way.

- Answer The WM2140 is a unit manufactured from 2010, LG redesigned the pedestals and the bottom of the washer and dryers to use different connectors. They are not compatible. ^CP

- Answer there is a stacking bracket required to safely attach the full sized washer on top of the pedestal, and it is designed to work with a compatible LG machine (the feet of the full sized machine must match perfectly with the bracket, and it highly unlikely a different brand of washer would fit properly).

QuestionPurchased a Sidekick came home uboxed it and there was water droplets inside of tub. Is this normal? Packaging seemed untouched .

- Answer The sales woman at Best Buy did mention that all of the washers were tested prior to leaving the manufacturer to ensure they each work properly. Maybe that is why there are droplets in there. That is the only thing I can think of!

- Answer All washers run on electricity. Dryers can be gas or electric ... gas is cheaper to run if you have a gas hookup. Gas dryers are sold ready for hookup to natural gas (city gas) ... if you have bottled gas the dryer needs coverted to propane. Although it's a gas dryer it still requires some electricity (a standard 110 outlet) to run. An All Electric dryer plugs into a 220 line. All washers plug into a standard 110 outlet.
