This monitor DOES NOT do 120hz over hdmi - the max is 100hz over hdmi as stated on their spec sheets inside the box of the product. I purchased this monitor based off of the incorrect answer LG provided in regards to this monitor. Am returning immediately.

According to a thread on Reddit, this and the GL850 will do 120 over HDMI. A user states he tested both.

Always use displayport to get benefit for Gsync.
