QuestionWhen using as a desktop screen, text looks really blurry. I am not sure how to fix it?

- Answer What is the Windows Operating System for the Desktop that you have the LG 27'' UltraGear™ QHD Nano IPS 1ms 144Hz G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor, Model # 27GN850-B connected to? A blurry monitor can occur for several reasons such as bad resolution settings, non-matching cable connections or a dirty screen. Select Display > Change the size of text, apps, and other items, and then adjust the slider for each monitor. Right-click the application, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab, and then select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings check box. You can also click on the start menu then type 'Control Panel'. For the 'Best Match' click 'Control Panel' On the screen that opens up where it says 'View By', click on the drop down menu and make sure it is set to 'large icons', then click on the 'Display option'. Under 'Change only the size of items' is a hyperlink that says 'set custom scaling level'. Left click on that then where it says 'Scale to the percentage of normal size' click in the field that will probably be showing 100%. On the drop down menu of different percentages to select, click on a percentage that you want to try. You will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. If that does not clear up the blurriness, you can repeat the procedure to select a different percentage until you find one that works for you. If in doubt, please contact your desktop's manufacturer for assistance...^IFV

QuestionIs 22.7 inches the lowest height that the monitor will adjust with the stand? I need it to be 20.5 inches or lower and being that the monitor is only 14.4 inches without the stand that seems a bit much to be minimal height.

- Answer This monitor is a 2020 version of the LG 27GL850 which is widely regarded on review sites as one of the best 1440p/144Hz monitors around. Supposedly there are only slight differences between the GL from 2019 and this GN from 2020.

QuestionIs 1440P supported? I can’t set the resolution to 2560x1440P. 2560x1440 (native resolution) shows up in the list of available resolutions but not 1440P. PC is high end. Using DP and aspect ration 16:9. Monitor is set to “Full Wide”.

QuestionCan this monitor do 1440p 120hz with freesync enabled over hdmi. Looking to use it with Xbox one x. I have the lg gl83a and that cannot do it with freesync.

QuestionIs the dp cable 1.4 since the monitor supports that? Or is it a 1.2

- Answer I've seen complaints online that the cable is subpar, and that you probably want to buy a VESA-certified 1.4 cable if you have a graphic card that supports it. I'm presently using it with DP 1.2, and it's fine for that, but it could be troublesome at 1.4 speeds. The stock cable is also shortish, I think about 6 feet, so buying a longer 1.4 might be a good idea anyway.

- Answer You can hook up any device with an HDMI cable. A Switch or PS5 will work great. However, for the best experience with a PS5, I would recommend a 4k capable monitor. But if you want smother gameplay over awesome graphics, then definitely get a higher refresh rate monitor like this one at 144hz

QuestionI just got this monitor, and it will not let me have my display settings to 1440p at 120hz on my Xbox one S. I have turned off Adaptive Sync, HDR is off and it will still not let me select those settings. I have looked everywhere, but nothing worked.

- Answer Xbox one S can not run 1440 at 120hz. You would need the Xbox one X to run those specs.

QuestionHas anyone noticed if their screen has tiny little white dots on every corner of the screen? Just one on every corner. They kind of look like tiny little air bubbles on a phone screen protector. They're very tiny but still find it a bit off.

- Answer Regardless of whether you use an HDMI to DisplayPort converter or not to connect your gaming console to the LG UltraGear 27" IPS LED QHD FreeSync and G-SYNC Compatable Monitor with HDR, Model # 27GN850-B, you will still be limited to 100Hz if you are using an HDMI Out.
