As with most monitors, they don't have speakers so you won't be able to hear anything. However, there's an aux output on the monitor which you can connect speakers to via a 3.5mm aux cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I consulted bestbuy and LG they had no workable solution. I tried connecting the speaker every which way imaginable. I also tried every option in the series x's audio settings. I even bought a new 3.5mm aux cord to be completely positive it wasn't because of my old one. No matter what I did nothing worked. I imagine the problem is with the series x. I no they make an adapter that adds an optical cable but that is not viable being it reduces the display to 60 hertz. Long story short I took the speaker and monitor back and I'll be waiting for something better. The thing that intrigued me the most about the speaker is the ability to talk online. Regular computer speakers don't have that option and sounded like fun. I guess it's made more for PC gaming is all I can think.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently bought the same speaker (gp9) to use with my ultragear monitor (gp950) to use with my ps5. I’m using AUXILIARY PORT to connect from speaker to monitor. That’s the way I have it set up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can either use headphones from the Xbox, or the monitor as an aux (3.5mm) out which you can plug into headphones or a speaker (I have mine plugged into an LG PL7 bluetooth which works fine for my purposes. You can also buy 3.5mm bluetooth adapter so that you can have the monitor sound go to any bluetooth speaker or receiver that way. Sound will only be stereo at best in any case.
