QuestionI don’t know if something is wrong with my monitor, but it does not let me edit contrast, sharpness, gamma, R/G/B, etc... I have a series X and whenever I try to adjust graphics preference on borderlands 3, my monitor just crashes.

- Answer It won't let you change settings if you have it on a preset. Put it on custom or standard. Also, make sure your console is set to whatever hertz u want. There's videos on YouTube that show how simple it is...

- Answer @LGAnswers In that case, can you remove the ** comment from the product page on your website? It says **To enable the overclock 180Hz, you need a graphics card that support DisplayPort 1.4

QuestionDoes this support hdmi 2.0, wanting to know specifically if I can get 120 frames on console with this monitor.

- Answer You can get up to 120fps with a few different factors. If you have an Xbox Series X/S, you will be able to have the option of either 1440p (2K) or 1080p natively and up to 120fps if the game supports it. If you have the PS5 on the other hand, you will natively be on 1080p only or will have an upscaled version but I would not recommend it. Maybe if one day PlayStation decides to support 1440p. But given that they didn't even on the PS4, I wouldn't get this monitor. You would benefit more from the up and coming GP950 model.

- Answer Different model and not release yet. Eta is May 19th. I think the 83B-B is the better buy IMO.

- Answer GP83B-B has one USB port only servicing. LG website has the wrong photos up. Mistake on there part.

- Answer If you must then go under rgb and play with reds and yellows but truthfully turn off HDR. Research what HDR is and you’ll see It’s trash with any edge lit monitors. Simply not bright enough to make anything pop. HDR is barely okay at 600 nits and best at 800 nits and up. These monitors are not even Vesa Display HDR 400. They are 350 not and perform more like 250 irl. Great monitor but not for HDR content. Good luck with your search.

- Answer Hey there, No, this monitor isn’t offered in a curved option. If you want a curved monitor, I’d suggest the Samsung g5 or g7 respectively, a VA panel with a high refresh rate of up to 240hz, but you’ll compromise on image quality for a higher refresh rate.

QuestionIf you select 2160p on PlayStation menu will that “upscale” the monitor to 4k? It says it’s displaying it when I put it on, but I don’t want to hurt the monitor if it can’t handle it since it’s only native 1440p. This is my first monitor.

QuestionHow do I get the advertised 165hz on my LG UltraGear 27GP83B-B.AUS from Best Buy. PC: ASUS STRIX 3080 Ti w/ Ryzen 7 3800X & I have not been able to get it passed 144hz. Nvidia control panel shows 165hz but in game its capped to 144 (game setting at 165hz)

- Answer Make sure it’s at 165hz in windows settings, and check to see if the game allows other display resolutions. On Final Fantasy XIV it gives me the option to select 1440p at 144hz or 1440p at 165hz. Im also using USB-c/display port on a Asus TUF laptop with a RTX 2060 if that helps.

- Answer No film. Please do not try to remove anything. These monitors have anti glare so it looks that way. I’m on my third LG monitor now. If I’m wrong someone can correct me later. Also if it’s scuffed take it back to bestbuy ASAP. As long as your in the return window you should be fine. Good luck.

- Answer From what I can tell the only difference is the 850B can overclock to 180hz and it also has USB passthrough. This model does not. I believe the 27GP83B is a better buy IMO unless the 2 mentioned differences are worth $100 to you.
