Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Displayport is a better connection overall. HDMI 2.1 is Seriously hitting it's limit with this monitor. Your ports and cables will need to be in VERY good condition for it to work reliably. That being said, if you're already using HDMI, and you're getting the full 3440x1440 @240 hz with HDR and variable refresh, with no screen flickering, artifacts like lines across the screen etc, then by all means, keep using HDMI. They're both digital signals, so they either work properly, or they don't. You won't get any kind of improved picture quality by trading one for the other.
