QuestionSetting this up using a HDMI cable I had used on another TV. Hooking it up to a LG TV that I had been using with an up scale player. I have Direct. TV. My problem is when I try to get to the menu settings on the player I get a "no signal".

- Answer use your LG TV controller, press to left button- looks like a plug Scroll down to where the player is plugged in; ex: HDMI11, HDMI2, HDMI3 Press enter and it will take you to the player

QuestionDoes the HDMI 2.0 out support the newest hdcp 2.2 standard, because sometimes this is not the case. Hopefully somebody knows this answer because i can't seem to find it anywhere.

- Answer It'll play DVDs and Blu-rays fine, but you won't be able to watch 4k discs because your tv isn't capable.

- Answer Much misinformation here. This player will only play region A or 1 UHD & blu-ray discs and region 1 DVD's. It will also play any disc that is region "ALL" It will not play region 2 UHD and blu-rays (European) or DVD's for instance. Region A or 1 discs are the standard for USA. Fewer are "ALL". Anyone stating this player will play region B or 2 don't know what they're talking about and shouldn't be spreading misinformation mindlessly.

QuestionJust bought this player, looks great. However, I’m having issues with quick but frequent audio drop outs when playing 4K discs. Connected to a Denon AVR-x2300w receiver. It goes away on pcm setting but on Auto, to get bitstream, the problem persists.

- Answer While your TV remote cannot control this DVD player, this DVD player's remote does have the ability to power on and off the TV, change the volume and change the input of your TV. ^CP

- Answer Unfortunately, your Sony has only RCA inputs. You will require a receiver that accepts HDMI or Toslink (OPTICAL). Suggest you upgrade your receiver. Your Best Buy sales team can provide additional help.

- Answer I played an HDR movie on my non-HDR TV and it played with more details than the standard blue ray movie played. I did this as a comparison of how a 4k movie appears vs a standard blue ray.

- Answer COMPLETE B.S. Remember you're dealing with kids with absolutely no knowledge of the equipment they're selling and they don't care to learn about it. It truly sounds like a software issue and or defective unit. Sorry it took so long to answer your problem.
